Savannah and Scott were married in one of the most beautiful and unique ceremonies in recent memory.  The land is off the beaten path and has been in their family for generations.  They were concerned after meeting with a conservation expert that the house would not stand long enough for their wedding.  In order to keep the structure intact, they were quoted approximately 1.5 million dollars to brace the walls…thankfully, it stayed upright and provided a beautiful backdrop for their wedding.

We had a great time with everyone and are looking forward to exploring some of the amazing locations in and around the island.   If you are heading out to Edisto, I recommend stopping by the Geechie Boy Mill.  They have refurbished an original mill and are known for supplying grains, including grits, to all of the famous Charleston Restaurants including the Husk, which was voted 2011 “Best Restaurant in America” by Bon Appetite magazine.

We also plan for any special requests that will make our wedding photo’s something special and jumped at the chance to include images from where Scott proposed near their home in Old Mount Pleasant- The Old Pitt Street Bridge.  We wish Savannah and Scott an extraordinary 2013 and know they will be able to show their kids the beautiful photographs of their amazing wedding and the still standing Brickhouse Plantation.
