Marni and Drew choose the Ancient Spanish Monastery as the venue for their Miami wedding.  This medieval cloister was originally built in Segovia, Spain in the 12th Century.  In Charleston, we are accustomed to churches with some age, but nothing quite as old as 1133!  The monastery’s cloisters and outbuildings were purchased by William Randolph Hearst in 1925 and the structure was dismantled and shipped in 11,000 crates to the US.  It was eventually re-assembled in the 1960’s in MIami.  Although I love Europe, we didn’t need to travel far for this amazing gothic backdrop for Marni and Drew’s wedding!

I met Marni years ago while shooting for Boca Magazine-she was the photography editor.  Knowing what an amazing and beautiful person she was, I was looking forward to meeting Drew.  Of course, he was equally amazing and as you can tell, quite the dancer!  We had so much fun spending the day with Marni and the crew!
